01 — Overview

At Tymmber Outdoor, we engineer the Hitch to Home ecosystem around a strict standard: you own your gear, you understand its architecture, and you hold the absolute right to repair it. We build modular platforms so you are never tethered to a fragile, corporate ecosystem.

But building rugged, independent hardware is useless if the human operating it is fragile, rigid, and reliant on a centralized medical machine. The modern fitness industry treats the human body like a mechanical combustion engine — a forklift. Flat gym floors. Centered, dead weight. Isolated single joints.

HMT starts from a different premise: you are a single, continuous, liquid-crystalline fascial web. You are a living terrain. This is not a workout routine — it is biophysical engineering. HMT abandons the flat-floor mechanical illusion and returns to the earned truth of how the human architecture is actually designed to flow, absorb chaos, and repair itself.

02 — Core Protocol
Part One The Hold — Tension Tuning. You cannot crack a whip if the handle is loose. Deep, sustained holds on uneven dirt lock the architecture down. Not about muscle fatigue — about wringing stagnant fluid out of the fascial sponge and building the unbreakable anchor.
Part Two The Momentum — Elastic Recoil. The second you release the Hold, fresh hydration floods the tissue. Immediately transition into explosive, rotational movement — displaced pendulums (maces, kettlebells), not dead-weight dumbbells. You aren't lifting weight; you're yielding to a force and firing the elastic whip.
03 — Research Foundation

HMT is Tymmber's own synthesis, informed by published research from three independent scientists. None of them are affiliated with Tymmber Outdoor, and none have reviewed or endorsed this protocol — the citations below point to their public, peer-reviewed work, which the Hold and Momentum pillars draw on.

The Map Dr. Jean-Claude Guimberteau — French plastic surgeon and anatomist. Over 1,200 in-vivo endoscopic exams of living fascia, published in Architecture of Human Living Fascia. His footage is the visual basis for describing the body as a continuous, tensioned fabric rather than isolated parts.
The Hold Dr. Keith Baar — molecular exercise physiologist, UC Davis. His published research on sustained isometric loading and stress-relaxation in tendon shows this kind of loading stimulates collagen synthesis. Baar's own protocols run longer than HMT's Hold (typically 5–10 minute sessions) — HMT's 90–120 second version is Tymmber's own field adaptation, informed by his research, not a reproduction of his exact protocol.
The Momentum Dr. Robert Schleip — Director, Fascia Research Group, University of Ulm. His published work on fascial viscoelasticity identifies swinging, rebound-style movement (kettlebell-type swings among his own published examples) as training for the tissue's elastic recoil — the basis for HMT's Momentum pillar.

Objective: Redefine fueling and maintenance, shifting from constant caloric consumption to strategic structural repair.

Execute a structured 24-hour fast, utilizing only structural hydration to maintain the web's electrical charge while triggering autophagy. Extended fasting isn't right for everyone — check with a doctor first if you're diabetic, pregnant, on medication that requires food, or have a history of disordered eating.
Module 03 — Hold & Momentum (The Physical Practice)
Objective: Transition physical training from static dead-weight lifting to dynamic, fluid tension and elastic recoil.

Objective: Master the cognitive override of the autonomic nervous system to unlock endogenous energy and survive violent shifts in rhythm.

Assignment
The Pain Cave Simulator
A grueling 90-minute session that deliberately breaks its own rhythm halfway through (e.g. trail running into aggressive mountain biking). Modeled on ultrarunner Courtney Dauwalter's approach to training past perceived limits — a philosophy now drawing interest from elite athletic trainers. Build up to this one gradually, and know the difference between hard discomfort and a real warning sign (chest pain, dizziness, confusion) — the goal is pushing perceived limits, not ignoring your body.
06 — Master Operations Protocol

Downloadable field reference. Discards flat surfaces, isolated joints, and fixed repetition. Focuses on hydrating the fibrillar web, distributing force across the whole architecture, and training the mind to govern the physical response.
